Strengthen Your Leadership Team

Strengthen Your Leadership Team

Leadership development plays a critical role in the success and sustainability of every nonprofit organization. Nonprofits often struggle with employee turnover. Developing leaders is closely tied to retaining them. According to a recent HR survey, approximately 40% of voluntary turnover in nonprofits occurs due to a “lack of opportunity for upward mobility/career growth.” By investing in leadership development, nonprofits can create a pathway for advancement, making employees feel valued and motivated to stay.

Dennis Miller can ‘talk the talk’ because Dennis has ‘walked the walk;’ he has been there, done that! You know immediately that Dennis isn’t merely speaking from the theoretical or from a textbook but rather, he has a wealth of rich and tremendous knowledge to draw from when providing counsel. And his communication style is refreshing – Dennis doesn’t mince words…he tells it like it is! In the seat I occupy, it is comforting to know I can tap into that treasure of experience to help advance the mission I am privileged to represent.

Dennis Miller is the real deal. He understands boards, he understands organizations, and he loves what he does. His passion for helping organizations align their day-to-day mission with their bigger vision is what convinced us that Dennis was the right person to work with us on our strategic planning process. His vast knowledge and experience running large organizations has given him a both insight and the knowhow to analyze the inner workings of an organization succinctly and efficiently whether large or small. Dennis came to The Bridge at a critical juncture for us and his coaching and counsel really helped set the tone for our work moving forward. We now have our roadmap thanks to Dennis.

DCM was engaged to conduct a comprehensive analysis of all components of our organization, including board governance and leadership team development. They were able to quickly identify our strengths and areas of needed improvement leading to swift changes that streamlined all of our operations and interactions. Their knowledge and expertise were a critical component in developing a 3 year strategic plan that allowed us to expand our Board of Directors, our base of constituents and fundraising contacts. Dennis was also integral in helping us develop our internal educational program to develop our team’s leadership abilities. One of Dennis’ greatest strengths is his ability to very quickly establish trusting relationships that lead to positive and healthy changes. His insights and perspectives on how nonprofit organizations should function make him an invaluable resource for any organization.
